LINCOLNTON, N.C. – The Alive After Five Summer Concert Series got off to a great start Thursday, May 26 in Downtown Lincolnton with a huge attendance.

Cars for the Cruise-In started arriving at 5 p.m. and the concert goers also started to come in with their lawn chairs. They were ready to stake out their spot and get ready to purchase food from the vendors and try out the beer garden. The Lincoln County Farmer’s market also had vendors on hand with fresh produce to sell. They were located on North Academy Street between First United Methodist and Freedom churches.

The line-dancers started it off with music provided by DJ Johnny B and then they continued to dance and listen the night away with some great music with May’s featured group - Jim Quick & Coastline at 7 p.m.

The Alive After Five Concert Series is held the last Thursday of each month from May to September each year. The concert is held on the east side of the Lincoln County Courthouse from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. In case of rain the event moves to the Lincoln County Farmer’s Market shelter on West Water Street. Bring your own lawn chair, no coolers allowed.

Coming next month on June 30 will be The Catalinas.

The event for May was sponsored by First Federal Savings Bank and the Downtown Development Association of Lincolnton, Inc.
