The Highway Patrol says that speed was not a factor--but the weather and water on the roadway was. The single car crash happened shortly before 8 PM.
The identity of the victims was released Sunday afternoon: Lloyd J. Neal, 52, of Lincolnton; Sebastian Lee Fredell, 22, of Lincolnton; and Andrew Jacob Abernathy, 46, of Shelby.
