Heavenly Paws Grooming will celebrate its Grand Re-Opening this Saturday (August 30th) from 10 - 3 in the location where the business began over seven years ago, 213 N. Aspen Street in downtown Lincolnton

Betty Day says there will be plenty of goodies and treats for everyone--including your four-legged friends.  A pet costume contest will also be held, a DJ will entertain, and they'll hold a raffle.  Betty, who has been an avid supporter of the Lincoln County Humane Society, the Make Lincoln County No-Kill effort and other pet causes, says she's glad to be back where she started.

Stephanie Davis, who knew nothing about grooming when she started, is now the Assistant Manager and has now been grooming dogs for two-and-a-half years.  Tami Lakes , who graduated from the Nash Academy in Kentucky and has been grooming for 15 years has been with Heavenly Paws for a year-and-a-half.  Betty says she plans to add two more groomers part-time during the holiday season.

On our visit to Heavenly Paws on Thursday, we also met Sam, Sally Carpenter's shih tzu; Pickie, a terrier; Juppy, a fawn-colored schnauzer who's a member of the Ellis Hull family; Jackie, and Katie Morrison with Ike, a three-year-old shih tzu who is a rescue dog.

Betty says she relies on repeat business and has been grooming the pets of several customers since she first started in business.  She says she has a special love for rescue animals--and has had several herself.
