LINCOLNTON, N.C. – A great group of high school marching band fans came out Saturday night, Sept. 19 for the Lincoln County Marching Band Preview that featured performances from the local high school bands upcoming competition shows.
The night started off with Lincolnton High School and was followed by North Lincoln, East Lincoln, and West Lincoln.
After all the schools had performed their competition shows the 400 plus musicians came together to pay tribute to the United States by playing the National Anthem.
The Band Directors from all four schools participated in an Ice Bucket Challenge at the end of the evening. Might fine job of soaking them!
Special thanks wanted to be expressed to Lincolnton High School for the use of their facilities, for all the Band Booster programs that helped in running the event, for all the donations from individuals and businesses to help make the night a success. And a special thanks to the Band Directors and Students for all their awesome work to put together four magnificent programs.
When you are at a football game or happen to go to a competition let’s remember to put our hands together and cheer for some of Lincoln County’s finest!
