Thursday, December 20, at Lincolnton Middle School sounds of Christmas filled the air during the 7th and 8th grade music performance. Participating were the chorus, band and newly formed handbell choir.
Under the directorship of Thelma Rozukalns and accompanist Andris Rozukalns the 7th grade chorus performed Pat-a-Pan, Let It Snow, Noel, Noel a Boy is Born, Who is the Tiny Babe, Bidi Born and Santa is the Man.
Amber Hoyle is director of both the 7th and 8th grade bands and the 8th grade chorus.
The musical numbers from the 7th grade band were Jolly Old Saint Nicholas, Midnight Mission and Jing-a-ling Bells. The 8th grade chorus performed Jingle Bell Rock, In December, Just Another Baby and Christmas…in about 3 Minutes. The 8th grade band treated the audience to Bobsled Run, Carol of the Magi, Fantasia on the Daragson and Hark the Herald Tubas Sing. The handbell choir performed the familiar Carol of the Bells.
