Chip Cathey, new North Lincoln High School principal

Chip Cathey, the new principal at North Lincoln High School, won't have to get to know the community in his new job. He lives only minutes from the school, has one son who is a North Lincoln grad and another now a student at the school. He was on hand for playoff games in the Spring when North was pursuing a state baseball title.
Cathey says community, cooperation and collaberation will be key elements of what he wants to bring to North Lincoln as its new principal. "We've got some excellent teachers and other staff members and I want to see that we work together to make this school, which is already very good, even better."
We talked with him earlier this week about his new position (VIDEO AT RIGHT).
Cathey is one of two new high school principals in the Lincoln County Schools. Preston Clarke is the new principal at Lincolnton High School.
Lincoln County Schools open Monday for students--their earliest start ever.
