2019-2020 LC Schools Kindergarten Registration Begins Feb. 4
Registration for children entering kindergarten will begin on Monday, February 4, 2019 and will continue through Friday, March 29, 2019.  Children who will turn five years old on or before August 31, 2019 will need to be registered between those dates.

Possible Icy Spots Delaying School Opening
At 5 AM, it was 32° in Lincolnton and Shelby, 34° in Gastonia and 31° in Hickory.  Those temps were still the same at 8 AM.  It will be warming into the upper 40s later today.  The possibility of some icy spots caused some delays.

Getting Back To Normal After The Storm
After being closed earlier in the week, schools were still for the most part on a delayed schedule Thursday.  For Friday, schools, government offices, etc. will be back to their normal schedules--but there's still one more weather-related cancellation:  with heavy rain likely, Dallas has cancelled its Christmas Parade; it won't be rescheduled.
