Maiden Man Arrested In Connection With Two August Break-Ins

LINCOLNTON, N.C. – A Maiden Man was arrested on October 8 in connection with break-ins that occurred on Willis Road and Philadelphia Church Road.
On August 1, 2018 deputies were dispatched to a break-in at a residence in the 2000 block of Willis Road in western Lincoln County. When they arrived the occupant of the rental property told them items had been stolen from inside. The stolen property included electronic items, clothing, household goods and food valued at $4,000.
The suspect is also charged with the August 13, 2018 theft of a water heater from a residence on Philadelphia Church Road. While investigating another case Detective Kelly Paris learned that Nathaniel Rolland Gilbo, 30, of Maiden, N.C. removed the water heater from the closet of the residence.
Gilbo is charged with probation violation and two felony counts each of breaking and entering a building, larceny after breaking and entering and possession of stolen goods. He was arrested during a traffic stop by Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies on October 8, 2018. Gilbo was taken before an Lincoln County magistrate and is in jail under a $10, 500 secured bond.
Also charged in connection with the Willis Road break-in are Christina Bessette, 20, of Lawndale, N.C. and Whittney Turner Gilbo, 28, of Newton, N.C. Bessette was arrested by Burke County officers on September 25, 2018 on one felony count each of breaking and entering a building and larceny after breaking and entering and transferred to Lincoln County on October 11, 2018.
Officers are still searching for Whittney Turner Gilbo. She is charged with one felony count each of breaking and entering a building and larceny after breaking and entering.
