Drug Surveillance Operation Leads To Arrests

LINCOLNTON, N.C. – On March 21, 2019 Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office narcotics officers, acting on a tip, set up a drug surveillance operation in the parking lot of a business near the intersection of Car Farm Road and Highway 321 Business.
Investigators observed a drug transaction take place. Narcotics investigators along with Baker District deputies stopped the suspect vehicle on Highway 321. A search of the vehicle led to the seizure of two and a half ounces of cocaine.
Tevan Montez Ikard, 25, of Hudson, N.C. was charged with trafficking cocaine by possession, trafficking cocaine by sell, and trafficking cocaine by delivery and transport. He was taken before a Lincoln County magistrate who set his bond at $200,000 secured. He has a first appearance in Lincoln County District Court on March 22, 2019.
Johnny Trevor Rippy, 32, of Newton, N.C. was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Caldwell County for felony possession of cocaine. He received a $5,000 secured bond and was placed on hold for Caldwell County. Additional charged with be filed as the investigation continues in Lincoln County.
