Two people have been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Shelby Wednesday morning (May 15th).
Jordan Oneil Hosch, 26, of Creekside Court, Bessemer City, and Naikeira Jeanai McIntosh, 21, of North Styers Street, Cherryville, are both charged with first-degreee murder in the death of 55-year-old Duane Bouvier Oates.
Oates, who lived on Stony Point Road in Shelby, was gunned down on Lineberger Street in Shelby shortly after midnight according to Shelby Police.
The investigation into his death revealed that the three had been at a gathering Tuesday evening. The suspects were arrested at A home in Gaston County Wednesday afternoon.
Investigators have asked that anyone with information related to the incident call Shelby Police or Cleveland County CrimeStoppers.
