LINCOLNTON, NC – Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office narcotics investigators arrested a Charlotte man on drug charges following a traffic stop south of Lincolnton.
Narcotics officers received a tip about drugs in a vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Gastonia Highway. Inside the vehicle investigators located and seized 68 grams of heroin with a street value of $6,000.
Officers arrested Marvin Omar Arevalo Acosta, 34, of East Way Drive, Charlotte, NC on two felony counts of trafficking in opium or heroin and one felony count of possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a controlled substance Schedule I. He was taken before a Lincoln County magistrate and placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $125,000 secured bond.
