Press Release


The Catawba County Sheriff's Office has now arrested two people in connection with a homicide on White Tail Circle in Conover October 19th.  Officers say 28-year-old Samuel Antonio Hernandez Loza was killed in what appears to have been a drug-related shooting.  54-yar-old Tony Marshall Shook was charged with murder in the case, and this week, 34-year-old Sheala Diane Layell was charged with being an accessory after the fact.
