Tax Bills Going Out
If you own property in Lincoln County, you may already have received your 2019 Property Tax Notice--they were mailed Tuesday (July 9th).  Catawba County will mail tax bills on next Tuesday (July 16th).  Gaston & Cleveland counties won't mail 2019 tax bills until later in the month.

Clarke Named New LHS Principal
The new principal at Lincolnton High School will be a Maiden High School graduate.  Preston Clarke, who most recently served as principal at Valley Crucis Elementary School in Watauga County, was named to replace Tony Worley at LHS by the Lincoln County Board of Education at its meeting Tuesday evening (July 9th).

Deputies Respond To Two Unrelated Stabbing Incidents
Brian Keith McDonald was charged June 28 in a stabbing incident in Iron Station and was placed in the Detention Center.  Another incident on June 29 had the suspect, Zachary Allen Clinkscales, fleeing the scene. A warrant has been issued for Clinkscales and he has not been apprehended.
