A Cherryville man died last week, nine days after an accident caused by an impaired driver.
Gregory Keith Davis, 46, was one of five people injured in the wreck that happened on Highway 150 west of Cherryville on Monday September 18th.
The Highway Patrol said Tony Story, 39, of Waco, was driving under the influence of an impairing substance when his Mitsubishi Eclipse crossed the double yellow line striking another vehicle before crashing into Davis’ GMC pick-up truck head-on--causing it to roll down an embankment and land upside down.
Davis was taken to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte where he died from his injuries on September 27th.
