12/14/2018 4:00:00 AM Getting Back To Normal After The Storm
Wayne Howard Staff Writer
Lincoln County Schools, Gaston County Schools, Cleveland County Schools, Catawba County Schools, Newton-Conover and Hickory City Schools all operated on a delayed basis Thursday. Lincoln Charter School managed to return to a normal schedule. All of the schools in our area will be back to regular hours this Friday.
There was one additional weather-related cancellation, but it had nothing to do with last weekend's snowstorm: the town of Dallas decided--with heavy rain predicted all day--to cancel its Christmas Parade that had been scheduled for Friday; it won't be rescheduled.
Dallas joins Casar as locations where parades were cancelled because of the weather; Casar's parade had been scheduled for last Sunday.
