County Manager Kelly Atkins has been meeting with department heads, developing potential plans, and getting the material ready for consideration by the board for some time now--but the Lincoln County Commissioners, including two new members elected in November and sworn into office December 3rd--will have their first budget workshop on the 2019-2020 Lincoln County budget beginning at 10 AM Friday (Dec. 14th) at the James W. Warren Citizens Center.
The meeting--to be held in the Commissioners meeting room on the third floor--is open to the public. Unlike most regular meetings, while it will be recorded on audio, no digital video of the meeting will be available to watch, so if you want to see what happens, you'll need to be there in person.
Commissioners still have one more regular meeting this (calendar) year: their final mid-monthly session will be held Monday evening at 6:30.
The Lincoln Herald will cover the Friday session, and while no final decisions on any part of the coming year's budget may be made, we'll report on the discussions that occur.
