5/16/2019 9:02:00 AM Gaston County Police Arrest Man & Woman Wanted In Murder

Two people wanted in connection with the alleged murder of a Stanley woman were arrested Wednesday (May 15th) by Gaston County Police.
James Michael Rick and Melinda Kay Robinson were apprehended at a residence in the 1000 block of Old Carolina Mining Road outside of Stanley.
Rick was charged with First Degree Murder in the death of Delia “Joyce” Aldridge Rick, whose car crashed into the Seven Oaks Boat Landing on South New Hope Road just after 1 AM Sunday May 5th. Melinda Kay Robinson has been charged with Accessory After the Fact to First Degree Murder.
Robinson was jailed under a $500,000 bond and Rick was jailed without the privilege of bond pending a court appearance.
