Local Nonprofits Receive Emergency COVID-19 Relief Grants

LINCOLNTON – The Lincoln County Community Foundation announced grants totaling $30,000 to six local nonprofits on the frontlines of serving those impacted by the coronavirus. The board of advisors typically awards grants in August but expedited the process to address emergency needs in Lincoln County as a result of the pandemic.

“Obviously extraordinary times calls for an extraordinary response,” said Wayne Hoyle, Lincoln County Community Foundation board chair. “Our local board of advisors understand what this community needs during this coronavirus pandemic. Supporting the nonprofits who are aiding those who need it the most is our top priority.”

Grants include:

  • $5,000 to the Christian Ministry of Lincoln County to provide emergency services for families.
  • $5,000 to East Lincoln Christian Ministries to support individuals with direct assistance.
  • $5,000 to Kintegra Family Medicine – Lincolnton to provide critical healthcare.
  • $5,000 to Hesed House of Hope to address emerging needs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • $5,000 to Lincoln County Against Domestic Violence Shelter to serve victims of domestic violence with emergency needs.
  • $5,000 to Lincoln County Coalition Against Child Abuse for emergency services to support victims in Lincoln County.
