Lincoln County has now had 40 positive tests for the coronavirus. Of those, 24 have recovered but the county has 16 known active cases. Six people are still awaiting results of their tests. So far, nobody has died from the disease in Lincoln County.
Gaston County recorded its fifth death from COVID-19 Thursday night. The latest victim was a man in his 40s. The county now has 22 active cases and 147 people who have recovered from the disease.
Catawba County has 26 active cases, 5 of whom are hospitalized. The county has had 26 who have recovered and one death.
Cleveland County has had 47 positive cases and two deaths.
Mecklenburg County has now had 1989 confirmed cases and 60 deaths.
