Two Hospitalized After Shooting In Maiden

The Catawba County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Hickory man after a Friday night shooting in southwest Maiden.

At 9:26 PM, deputies with the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Ramseur Road. They found a man and a woman, both suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The female victim was transported by helicopter to Atrium Health in Charlotte. The male victim was transported by ambulance to Atrium Health in Lincolnton. Both remained hospitalized in serious condition Saturday morning.

The Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division arrested Dimitris Rashawn Williams, 29, of Hickory, charging him with two counts of attempted first degree murder. Williams is scheduled for a first appearance in court on Monday.
