A group of inmates in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center were administered the Covid-19 vaccine Wednesday (April 7th).
22 inmates accepted the offer to receive the single shot Johnson and Johnson vaccine administered by Lincoln County Health Department nurses; but it was not mandatory for inmates to receive it. Three members of the jail staff also received the vaccine. A total of 90 inmates are currently incarcerated in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center.
People who live in congregate living facilities such as jails became eligible for the Covid-19 vaccine in North Carolina on March 17, 2021.
