The Lincoln County Health Department will offer open scheduling for first dose Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to individuals age 18+ on Thursday, April 15th and Friday, April 16th. Vaccine shipments continue to be constant, but only a few hundred in total. Therefore only a limited number of appointments continue to be available.
The health department will use an online appointment system for the Thursday and Friday slots. Anyone with an appointment will be asked to bring in a print-out of their appointment confirmation or proper identification.
The appointment slots will be made available online Tuesday (April 13th) at 9 AM. The vaccine appointment link can be found at http://www.lincolncounty.org/2355/COVID-19-VaccinationInformation under “Schedule an Appointment-Health Department-Lincolnton.” For people in the eligible priority group that do not have the means for online scheduling, the health department will reserve an allocation that can be made by phone at 704-479- 2206.
The health department will provide additional opportunities for open scheduling of appointments as vaccine supply allows. Those who receive their first dose COVID-19 vaccine at the health department are guaranteed a second dose vaccine. Officials ask that due to the high demand for vaccine and limited weekly supply, if you make an appointment and are no longer able to keep your appointment, please cancel your appointment through the scheduling system or notify the health department at 704-735-3001 ASAP.
