On Tuesday (May 31st) investigators with the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division located Ryan Marie Smith, 27, in the parking lot of the Market Basket on Highway 16 north in Conover and arrested her on outstanding warrant for breaking or entering a motor vehicle, larceny of a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
During that encounter Smith’s vehicle was searched resulting in the seizure of 57 dosage units of oxycodone as well as small quantities of methamphetamine and marijuana.
In addition to the service of the outstanding warrants, Smith, a Lenoir resident, was charged with trafficking opium or heroin (oxycodone), possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver Schedule II controlled substances, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Smith was jailed under a $59,000 secured bond.
