The town of Dallas bought the historic Setzer Building for $76,000 three years ago with the hope of restoring the historic building.  The Town Board was on the verge Monday of approving a deal to sell it for $22,000 and guarantee a $300,000 loan to get a restaurant there--but now, that isn't going to happen.

New businesses are coming to Lincolnton.  The work is well underway on the Chick-fil-A that will open this Fall near the US321 intersection on E. Main St.  Two pubs and a craft brewery are coming to E. Water St.  A new butcher shop has opened downtown, and now another bar & restaurant is coming in August.
