Edgewater Ventures Gets OK from Council
"Progress marches on" as the old saying goes--but sometimes to the dismay of those who don't favor changes in their community.  The Lincolnton City Council once again made a rezoning decision Thursday night (Nov. 3rd) on a 3-2 vote that favors what some would call progress against keeping things as they are.  This time, it wasn't a decision on resdidential development.

Lincoln County Commissioners approved a rezoning request Monday night (Oct. 17th) that will allow Sunbelt Rentals to open a location on NC16-business near N. Pilot Knob Road.

Lincoln County Commissioners approved an Industrial Incentive Grant for Blum, Inc. at their meeting Monday night (Oct. 17th).  The company will invest over $15 million and create 10 new jobs as it updates its equipment.

Following a public hearing on a rezoning request that would have allowed an equipment rental company to locate on NC16-business in eastern Lincoln County, the County Planning Board voted 6-1 to recommend denial.
