A team of two couples received the approval Thursday night for their plan to renovate a building on East Water St. for a new full-service restaurant.  Local Roots was chosen over two other applicants to partner with the City in the restoration of the building.

Since Central Cafe closed, downtown Lincolnton has five eateries in the central business district (three blocks or less from the Courtsquare): City Lunch, Court Street Grille, Graffiti's, GoodWood Pizzeria, and Harvest Moon Grille.  You can also get sandwiches for lunch at The Meating Place, but their primary business is a butcher shop.
