Tried to reach a Lincoln County office and got a message saying their number was unavailable?  Lots of callers have told us they're experiencing the same problem.  The County is aware of it, and we're told that they and AT&T are working on a solution--which should be completed by late Thursday.

Hodges International Gets Federal Grant, County Incentive
Just days after getting a $750,000 grant under the state’s federally-funded Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) - Economic Development program, Hodges International got approval Monday night for a Lincoln County Industrial Incentive grant.  The company plans to renovate an old mill in Lincolnton for its headquarters.

A Swedish plastics manufacturer announced Wednesday that it will locate a new plant in Gaston County in the Gastonia Technology Park near Dallas.  It was the second major industrial announcement this week. The other was a filtration products company that announced Monday it would locate a new plant in the Trivium Corporate Center at Hickory.
