Lincoln County Sheriff Bill Beam announced his command staff at a ceremony Thursday (Jan. 17th) at the Harven A. Crouse Law Enforcement Center.

Sheriff Beam chose veteran law enforcement officers for the top positions in his administration.  The command staff includes:

Billy Brooks – Brooks will be the Chief Deputy. Brooks started his career with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office in 1996 and previous served as Captain over the patrol division.

Matt Lykins – Lykins will serve as Assistant Chief Deputy with a rank of Captain. He will oversee the Patrol division, Narcotics Division. Criminal Investigations, and Administration. Lykins joined the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office in 2004 as a patrol deputy

Charlie Greene – Greene was promoted to the rank of Captain and will be in charge of the Detention Operation, Civil and Court deputies, and prisoner transportation. Greene joined the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office 11 years ago after a 30-year career with the North Carolina Highway Patrol.

Kelly Paris – Paris will assume command of the Criminal Investigations Division. Paris joined the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office as a patrol deputy in 2003 after 10 years working at a local family business.

Lester White – White began his career as a 911 dispatcher for the Lincoln County Communications Center. He worked in many areas of law enforcement as patrol deputy, lake patrol, patrol Sergeant, criminal investigations, narcotics, animal control, and the court system. He is being promoted from Sergeant to First Sergeant of the Civil and Court Division.

In making the annoucements, Sheriff Beam said, “I have confidence in their leadership abilities, decision making and common sense approach to getting the job done. Our goal is to work hard every day to make the Sheriff’s Office the best in can be for every employee and provide the best service to the people of Lincoln County.”

Former Sheriff David Carpenter, District Attorney Mike Miller and Assistant Lincolnton Police Chief Captain Brian Greene all attended the ceremony.

Thank You Walking in Rightousness is not an easy path, But its a very Worthy one.
