Two People Indicted By Grand Jury On Drug Charges Arrested
Nathan Kenneth Black of Lincolnton and Tevan Montez Ikard of Hudson were indicted on separate drug charges. Black and Ikard were both arrested on August 5, 2019 and placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center.

School starts Monday in the Lincoln County Schools.  The early start was made possible by a School Board decision that makes Lincoln County Schools nominally 'year-round.'  While students don't attend every month of the year, teachers started their year in July & won't finish it until next June.

On June 30 at 10 a.m. a theft of a Stihl weed eater was reported in the 400 block of E. Klutz St. in Maiden. The suspect vehicle is described as a charcoal or silver 2002-2008 Dodge Ram single cab truck with chrome wheels and a black or blue camper shell.

Deputies Respond To Two Unrelated Stabbing Incidents
Brian Keith McDonald was charged June 28 in a stabbing incident in Iron Station and was placed in the Detention Center.  Another incident on June 29 had the suspect, Zachary Allen Clinkscales, fleeing the scene. A warrant has been issued for Clinkscales and he has not been apprehended.
