Holly Car Wash & Arcade on December 11th, 2020, pled guilty Tuesday and was sentenced to life in prison for killing  officer Tyler Herndon.

Lincoln County Manager Kelly Atkins, who has announced his retirement at the end of this month, attended his last meeting of the Lincoln County Commissioners Monday night (June 20th).  At the beginning of the meeting, County Commission Chairman Carrol Mitchem announced that Atkins had been named to the Order of the Long Leaf Pine.
