Adult Three-On-Three Basketball Tournament

LINCOLNTON––Ready to shoot some hoops?

The City of Lincolnton Parks and Recreation will have an adult three-on-three basketball tournament, this Saturday, Feb. 29, at 10 a.m. at the Lentz Recreation Center Gym at 800 S. Madison St. This event is for men and women, ages 18 and up. There is a three-person team minimum and a five-person max. The cost is $10 per player.

In other parks and rec news, the spring break baseball camp will be held April 13 and 14, 9 a.m.-noon both days, at Lincolnton High School’s baseball field at 803 N. Aspen St. The cost is $25 per player, and the camp is for boys who are second-graders all the way up to ninth-graders.

This includes participation in the pitch, hit and run competition, also for boys and scheduled for April 14 at 9 a.m. at the same baseball field. This free event is for boys 7 to 14 years of age.

Relatedly, there will be a free pitch, hit and run competition for girls, 7-14, on April 16 at 7 p.m. at Betty Ross Park at 800 S. Madison St.

And also April 16, there will be a junior homerun derby at 6 p.m. at Ross Park. This is a free event for both boys and girls.
