With the ongoing virus-related precautions and restrictions still in place, countless events are being cancelled.
One was the annual Gaston Community Foundation Run, a three-mile fundraising event for both walkers and runners, originally scheduled for this past Saturday, April 4. And one contributor to this event has always been the Mount Holly Historical Society.
But according to a statement from the society this weekend, it’s not too late to contribute to this philanthropic effort. You can still make your donations for the Gaston Community Foundation Run, which helps so many worthy causes, through April 13.
“The fundraiser will continue!” the group said in a joint statement. “If you have already donated, we thank you. All donations made from now through April 13 at 5 p.m. will be matched by the Gaston Community Foundation. When making a donation, it is important to list ‘Mount Holly Historical Society’ in the section that asks for the participating non-profit team.”
Why donate to the Mount Holly Historical Society? Because your donations help the group in many ways, including creating electronic forms of old Mount Holly newspapers; improving the group’s current exhibits; building new exhibits; providing monthly programs; and hosting special events for the local community.
