Broad River Greenway 10 Mile & 5K Trail Run
Trail run scheduled for September 19, 2020

Kim Duren, Executive Director
Broad River Greenway

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. - The Broad River Greenway is moving forward with the trail run scheduled for September 19, 2020.  We are doing everything we can to provide for a safe and social distanced event.

This year individual chips will be used to allow for runners to start as soon as they receive their chip, keeping everyone spread out.  In addition, there will be no day of registration to avoid congregating at the registration table.  The last opportunity to register will be Friday evening, September 18, 2020 at packet pick-up.  Online registration link is available on the Broad River Greenway Facebook page and www.broadrivergreenway.com.

Start Times

  • 10 Mile starts at 8 a.m. Chips will be used this year so we can stagger the start time of each runner. You may start after you pick up your chip.
  • 5K will begin at 9 a.m. Please do not come early. Chips will be available starting at 9 a.m. and you may begin as soon as you pick up your chip.

Course Description
As usual, both races will begin at the Ranger Station, then down to the River Trail passing by the playground.

  • The 10 mile course heads west along the River Trail, right on Wild Turkey Trail, left on Flint Hill, right on College Farm, cross the creek and left on Running Cedar, follow the gravel road back to the gate, left on the Sandy Run Trail, right on Chestnut Oak, cross the gravel road and back on the Running Cedar Trail, right on College Farm, cross the creek, cross the power line, right on Flint Hill, right on Nicholsonville to the campground, follow the River Trail back, and finish at the playground.
  • The 5K course is out and back along the River Trail. Participants will start after the 10 milers.
