LINCOLNTON, N.C. - There will be a community wide cleanup day at Lincolnton High School’s Von Ray Harris Stadium on Saturday, September 12 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Organizers are asking the community to come out and help with brush and trash cleanup, painting, landscaping and general maintenance to the stadium.
Von Ray Harris Stadium is a community stadium that is open for the public to use for exercise as well as for community events such as Relay for Life, Special Olympics, County Wide Band Preview and the July 4th Fireworks.
There is no regular cleanup or lawn crew to take care of the facility. Coaching staff work hard to maintain the field and are often tasked with cleaning up after the public.
If you are available and would like to help please come out on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
All help will be appreciated including those with trimmers/weed eaters/edgers, helpers with rakes, shovels, small chainsaws, and several with pressure washers. Painters are also needed (paint provided) as well as other general laborers. Coach Glass will provide pizza.
