The Western Foothills Conference announced its All-Conference selections and 'of the year' choices on Monday (Nov. 29th).

North Lincoln's Kyle Kovalchuk was named the Offensive Plae of the Year; East Lincoln's Ben Cutter was named the Defensive Player of the Year; former Lincolnton coach Joe Glass, in his first year at Hickory, was named Coach of the Year. The overall Player of the Year award went to Statesville's Zamari Stevenson and the Special Teams Player of the Year was Sam Buckner of the Greyhounds. Statesville went through the regular season unbeaten and made it to the fourth round of the playoffs before losing last Friday.

North Lincoln's All-Conference choices were Kovalchuk, Bryson Esser, Krystjan Snyder, Malachi Williams, Brennan Rogers, Josh Fox, Tyler Donahue, Luke Fitzsimmons, Dylan Nestor, and Sam Wilkins.

From East Lincoln, Al-Conference winners were Xurrwe, Tyler Mizell, Markell Clark, Keandre Walker, Landon Glezen, Josh Gilbert, Terry Bryant, and Blake Bradford.

Hickory's All-Conference choices were Jake Prince, Dontae Baker, Josiah Edwards, Dashawn Medley, Turner Wood, Henry Stewart, Rico Walker, and Zion Ettison.

Statesville had 12 players named All-Conference: Stevenson and Buckner, Elijah Munoz, Sam Chacon, Gabriel Lester, Quantay Brown, Austin Sherrill, Steven Hamby, Keidron Dukes, KeMarri Daniels, Jai-zen Harrison-Connor, and Steven Smith.

From St. Stephens, Jacob Schwartz, Chip Hendren, Anthony Rangel-Garcia and Brycen Gaither were All-Conference winners; from North Iredell Talieb Mitchell, JohnJackson, Dillion Hobbs, Landon Dancy, Logan Brooks, and Bronson Leonard; from West Iredell, Eric Dalton, Willie Walker, Jr., and Tristan Hopkins; and from Fred T. Foard, Blaine Duncan and Weston Wright.
