Taliyah Thomas batted 3 for 4, had a double and two home runs, and drove in five runs as the East Lincoln girls beat North Lincoln 13-3. Leah Correll went the distance pitching, giving up just 3 hits and one earned run while striking out 8. The win was the 11th without a loss for the Mustangs, who are now 7-0 in the Western Foothills Conference. With the loss, North is now 5-2 in the league. East Lincoln will host Hickory on Monday, then play at Statesville Thursday. North will play at Hickory Tuesday, then at home against South Iredell Wednesday.
