TENNIS
Lincoln Charter's boys tennis team remained unbeaten with an 8-1 win over Community School of Davidson last Tuesday. They're now 7-0 in the Catawba Shores Conference, 8-0 overall. The Eagles will host Pine Lake Prep Tuesday afternoon.
Lincolnton downed East Burke Wednesday (March 30th) and leads the CVAC with a 5-0 record. The Wolves take to the court at home Tuesday (April 5th) against Maiden; then visit West Lincoln on Thursday. The Blue Devils are tied with Bandys in second place in the league at 4-1. West Lincoln is 1-3 in conference play. Bandys beat Maiden last Tuesday 9-0. The Trojans downed Newton-Conover Friday 8-1. They'll play at West Caldwell on Monday (April 5th). Maiden will host Newton-Conover in their last regular season match on Tuesday. West will visit East Burke on Tuesday. The Catawba Valley Conference Tournament will be held at Maiden next week.
In the WFAC, both North Lincoln and East Lincoln lost matches last week. North lost to St. Stephens 6-3 and to Foard 5-4, while East lost 9-0 to those same two teams. North will play at West Iredell Monday (April 4th), then at East on Wednesday. East will be at North Iredell on Monday. The WFAC tournament is also scheduled for next week at North Lincoln.
