East Lincoln is now 6-2-3 for the season (tied with Hickory for the Western Foothills Conference lead, after the Mustangs beat West Iredell Monday 2-1. Landen Graden & Tristan Kendall scored for East. The Mustangs haven't lost since August 24th. They tied Hickory on Monday of last week; aside from that, they've won four other matches and tied one. They'll host Fred T. Foard Wednesday. The Tigers are 7-3-1 after a 1-0 win over Statesville on Tuesday.

North Lincoln is now 5-3-1 after beating North Iredell 2-0 Monday. Ben Hendricks and Devin Smith scored the goals. North will host St. Stephens on Wednesday.

Lincolnton is now 1-7-1 after losses to Combine Academy on Friday 7-0 and
Bandys on Monday 7-1. The Trojans at 9-0 and tied with Newton-Conover for the top spot in the Catawba Valley Conference, but Newton is 5-3-1 overall while the Trojans are undefeated. Lincolnton will host West Caldwell on Wednesday, while Bandys will host Maiden. The Blue Devils beat West Caldwell Monday 4-1.

West Lincoln tied Bunker Hill 4-4 in two overtimes on Monday. The Rebels will host Newton-Conover Wednesday and Bessemer City Thursday. West is now 2-7-1 for the season.

Cherryville will host Thomas Jefferson Wednesday.

Lincoln Charter will host Christ the King Wednesday and Hibriten Thursday. The Eagles are 7-1-2 afer beating Langtree Charter Monday 2-1. They're in second place in the Catawba Shores Conference behind 3-0 (10-1) Pine Lake Prep.


East Lincoln won their fourth in a row Monday beating West Iredell 3-1 (25-19, 19-25, 25-22, 25-22). They'll host Fred T. Foard Wednesday. The two are tied for second place in the conference with 5-2 records behind unbeaten North Iredell.

North Lincoln will host St. Stephens on Wednesday. The Knights lost at North Iredell Monday 3-0 (25-12, 25-16, 25-15).

Lincoln Charter was scheduled to host Pine Lake Prep Tuesday, but we didn't get a report on the score. [update: Lincoln Charter lost that match 3-0.] Cherryville lost to Thomas Jefferson 3-2. They'll host Burns Thursday.


North Lincoln is now 9-1 after a 9-0 win at North Iredell Tuesday. Emma Carver, Caitlin Simcox, Natalie Gore, Lulu King, Rachel Fink and Addisen Heavner won singles matches; Carver & Simcox, Gore & King, Fink & Heavner, Ella Wulfhorst & Mia Lang, Maike Rathgeb & Jessic Fedo, and Lucy Thompson & Emme Johnson won in doubles. North will host St. Stephens on Thursday. North is now 2-0 in the Western Foothills Conference, the only team in the league with nine wins.

East Lincoln began this week 8-1 overall, 1-0 in the league. They were scheduled to visit West Iredell Monday but we didn't get a report on the score [still not reported Thursday AM]. East will host Fred T. Foard Wednesday. Foard was scheduled to visit Statesville Monday--but no score was reported. (Foard won that Monday match 8-1.]

West Lincoln is now 9-2 after a 5-4 win at Maiden Tuesday. Chloe Norman, Bailey Huss, Kaitlyn Ballenger, Laura Willis, Adison Sain and Jada Willis won in singles; Norman & Huss, Ballenger & Sain, and Laura & Jada Willis won in duobles. West will host Bunker Hill on Thursday. Maiden will play at West Caldwell.

Lincolnton was scheduled to host Newton-Conover Tuesday, but we got no report on the score. [Lincolnton lost that match 7-2.]They'll play at Bandys Thursday.

Lincoln Charter will play at Mtn. Island Charter on Friday.


In middle school golf on Tuesday afternoon, Kings Mountain and West Lincoln Middle Schools traveled to Cowan's Ford Golf Club to take on host East Lincoln Middle School. Team scores were ELMS- 142, WLMS- 185, and KMMS- 190. Medalist for the match was Warren Stiglitz with a score of 33. He was followed closely by teammates- Carter Bolinger- 34, Brandon Bolinger- 37, and Kennedy Gallantine- 38. Other teammates contributing were Zac Phillips, Aaron Thomas, Riley McNair, and Hensleigh Stamey.
Low scorer for KMMS was Noah Rhodes with a 39. Low scorer for WLMS was Landon Sain with a matching score of 39.
Next week, KMMS and ELMS will travel to Glen Oaks Golf Club in Maiden to take on North Lincoln Middle School. WLMS will travel to Riverbend Golf Club near Shelby to take on Lincoln Middle School and Crest Middle School. [Thanks to Don Hensley for the report.]
