LINCOLNTON, N.C. - The Lincolnton Wolves football team won Friday, November 13 at home in a 2A NCHSAA Round One Playoff Game at home against the Lexington Yellowjackets by a score of 40-0.
Game Recap: Cordell Littlejohn to Langdon Givens for 37-yards gave the Wolves their first score; then he ran 9-yards for the second TD and it was 14-0. The Wolves were running wild; Tarus Dameron already over a hundred yards at the end of the 1st quarter. Dameron ran 3-yards in the second quarter for another TD and it was 20-0 at the half. Littlejohn scored on a 3-yard run midway thru the 3rd quarter to make it 26-0 after the second straight blocked EP kick, then ran for his 3rd TD of the night, this time the Sam Taylor EP kick was good to make it 33-0. Quentin Hill-Jones' 37-yard TD run made it 40-0 and that was the final score.
For Round Two the Wolves (10-2, 6-1) travel to Reidsville on Friday, November 20 to take on the Rams (9-3, 5-0), who were winners over East Rutherford 16-7 last Friday.
The winner of the Reidsville/Lincolnton game will play the winner of the Thomasville/Mountain Heritage game in Round Three on November 27.
