  • BOYS: Cherryville 67, Polk County 48 --- Cherryville defeated Polk County 67-49 tonight to improve to 11-1.  Lane Harrill lead all scorers with 29 and Justin Alexander had 15 points .

CHERRYVILLE/CHASE

  • BOYS: Cherryville 92, Chase 89 --- Cherryville defeated Chase 92-89 in OT.  Cherryville found itself down 10 points in the fourth quarter and fought back to send it to OT.  In overtime sophomores Lavonte Hughes and Austin Thompson came up big with baskets and free throws down the stretch.  Leading scorers were Justin Alexander 27 points, Lane Harrill 25 points and 12 rebounds, Nathan Jeffers 10 points, Lavonte Hughes 14 points and 8 assist, Matt Cain 10 points.
  • GIRLS: Chase 35, Cherryville 53

EASTLINCOLN/NORTHLINCOLN

  • BOYS: East Lincoln 85, North Lincoln 64 --- The Mustangs led 45-33 at halftime and outscored the Knights 40-31 in the second half to take the win by a score of 85-64 in the South Fork 2A Conference game played Friday night in Denver. The Mustangs had three players in double figures led by junior, Justin Kuthan, who had 26 points, senior, John Bean, added 20 points, and senior, Sidney Dollar, added 17 points. The Knights had three players in double figures led by, senior, Jake Quilla, who had 15 points, senior, Nick McKinney, had 14 points, and sophomore, Jack Carter, had 11 points. East Lincoln (3-0, 11-1): Sidney Dollar 17, Myles Adams 6, John Bean 20, Justin Kuthan 26, Allden Horne 2, Ben Zirkle 6, Ethan Staples 2, Petey Nichols 0, Jeremiah Jones 2, Logan Craig 4; North Lincoln (1-2, 4-5): Jack Carter 11, Matt Regan 8, Nick McKinney 14, Daniel Carter 7, Jake Quilla 15, Will Dedmon 5, Ian Fiore 1, Jarrett Bolick 3; OF NOTE: With the win, the Mustangs have won four in a row against the Knights, and hold the career series 30-5 dating back to the 2003-2004 season.
