BOYS: East Lincoln 81, Bandys 70 --- East Lincoln led 45-35 at the half and held on in the second to take the 81-70 win against Bandys in the South Fork 2A Conference game played Tuesday night in Denver. The Mustangs had four players in double figures led by senior, John Bean, who had 19 points. Junior, Justin Kuthan, had 18 points, while senior, Sidney Dollar, added 16 points, 5 steals, and 5 assists, and senior, Allden Horne, added 14 points while shooting 8-8 from the free throw line. The Trojans had three players in double figures, led by senior, Charlie Styborski, who had 21 points, senior, Davis Clanton, added 19 points, while junior, Spencer Ledford, added 16 points. Senior, Ben Zirkle, had 10 assists and 4 steals. The Mustangs will next be in action on Friday night as they travel to play the Maiden Blue Devils for the South Fork 2A Conference Championship game, while the Trojans will be at home against the West Lincoln Rebels. BOYS: Cherryville 72, Bessemer City 61 --- Cherryville defeated rival Bessemer City tonight in a battle for second place in the conference 72-61. The Ironmen were up 60-48 going into the final frame and spread the floor for the victory and improved to 17-4 on the season. Lane Harrill led the way with 30 points and 10 rebounds, 28 points in the first three quarters. Sophomore Lavonte Hughes finished with 14 points and 9 assists. Justice Davis led Bessemer City with 21 points. Next up for the Ironmen is Senior night at home Friday vs. Highland Tech.
