Brandon Lail went 3-for-4 and Brett Mason had two hits for the Rebels who advanced to the fourth round of the NCHSAA 2A playoffs. They'll play at home again on Friday against Oak Grove from Winston-Salem. Oak Grove (17-8) finished third in the Central Carolina Conference. They beat Madison 8-4 on Tuesday to advance to the game against West Lincoln. If the Rebels can beat Oak Grove, they'll advance to the semi-finals of the playoffs against the winner of the North Lincoln vs North Davidson game.

North Lincoln 4, West Stokes 0: North Lincoln advanced to round four with a 4-0 shutout of West Stokes as Joey Cobb tossed a two-hitter, striking out nine and walking just one. At the plate, Matt Heavner went 3-for-4 and Tanner Brumfield 3-for-3 including a solo home run. The win puts the Knights up against the Central Carolina Conference champ, North Davidson (21-8), a 4-0 winner over West Wilkes on Tuesday. That game will be played Friday evening at North Lincoln. Like the Rebels, the Knights need just two wins to make it to the state championship game.
