LHS Wolves Football Car Wash/Fish Fry

  • The Lincolnton Wolves Football team will host a Fish Fry and Car Wash fundraiser on Saturday, August 24 at Family Tree Hand Wash located at 806 E. Main Street, Lincolnton. Car washes will be available from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. for a donation of $5. The Fish Fry will take place from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Come out and meet the new coach and this year’s Lincolnton Wolves. Enjoy something to eat while waiting to get your car washed or take home some food to enjoy with your family. All proceeds will benefit the LHS Weight Room which not only benefits the Wolves Football team but all Lincolnton High School Athletes. Food Prices: Fish Plate $8 (includes 2 pieces of fish, bread, slaw, baked beans, drink); Fish Sandwich Only $5; Hot Dogs $1.50; Drinks $1; Desserts $1. Family Tree Hand Wash is owned by Stanchun Brooks. Brooks is a LHS Alumni and played football at LHS.

Christian Ministry Golf Tournament, Saturday, August 17 --- The 24the annual Christian Ministry Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, August 17. There's still time for golf teams to register and for sponsors to sponsor a hole for their business or in memory or honor of someone. Christian Ministry of Lincoln County is located at 230 E. Cruisin' For A Cause, Saturday, August 17 --- For all folks with Cruisin’ Court Square memories, this is the event for you! Cruisin' for a Cause brings back those memories while supporting local non-profits such as Coalition Against Child Abuse, Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Hesed House of Hope and Relay For Life of Lincolnton.  Come on out Saturday, August 17 at 5 p.m. and cruise like you used to.  This is a rain or shine event on Main Street in Lincolnton. 

Fall Youth Soccer Registration and Coach Recruitment, August 17,18 --- The City of Lincolnton Parks and Recreation is currently accepting soccer registration for the 2019 Youth Fall Soccer League. Registration for the league will be held at the Lincolnton Recreation Pool at Betty G. Ross Park on Saturday, August 17 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sunday August 18 from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Registration will also be accepted Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. during regular business hours at the Lentz Recreation Center, or registration and payment will also be accepted online at www.lincolntonnc.org/youth-soccer . The league is for boys and girls ages 4-14 years old (players born between August 1, 2005 and July 31, 2015). Regular registration cost for the league is $35.00 per child (city residents); $50.00 per child (non-city residents), and will be accepted through 5 p.m. Wednesday, August 21. Late registration will be accepted August 22-26 and will be subject to a $10.00 late registration fee. The Recreation department is also seeking persons interested in being volunteer coaches for the youth soccer league. Persons interested in coaching may contact the department to receive a volunteer coach’s application and to learn more about the position. Registration for the league will be held at the Lincolnton Recreation Pool at Betty G. Ross Park on Saturday, August 17, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sunday, August 18 from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Registration will also be accepted Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. during regular business hours at the Lentz Recreation Center, or registration and payment will also be accepted online at www.ci.lincolnton.nc.us/416/Youth-Flag-Football. The league is for boys and girls ages 4-14 years old. Regular registration cost for the league is $35.00 per child (city residents); $50.00 per child (non-city residents), and will be accepted through Wednesday, August 21. A late registration period will run August 22-26, and will be subject to a $10.00 late registration fee in addition to the registration fee. VW Cruise-In, Saturday, September 14, October 12 --- A Volkswagen (VW) Cruise-In will be held the second Saturday of each month from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. beginning in May and running through October. The event will be held in the parking lot of Caputos Pizza Company, 800 S. Mountain St., Cherryville, NC 28021.
