Leach Crowned 2019 East Lincoln Homecoming Queen

DENVER, N.C. - Gabrielle “Gabby” Alexis Leach was crowned Homecoming Queen during the halftime ceremonies at East Lincoln High School on Friday, October 18 in the Mustangs win over Bandys.

Gabrielle is the daughter of Jeff and Rochelle Leach. She was escorted by her brother Mason Chandler Leach.

This is the fourth year Leach has been on the Homecoming Court. As an outstanding member of the varsity volleyball team she is also a member of the BETA Club, the Mustang Project Club, the Habitat for Humanity Club, HOSA and Hands for Hope. She plans to attend North Carolina State University to study anatomy and physiology.

Congratulations to all the 2019-20 Homecoming Court and Class Representatives.

During the week leading up to Homecoming the students participated in Spirit Week, held a pep rally, and new this year a pre-game parade.

GAME RECAP: East Lincoln 23, Bandys 0
Playing their Homecoming game, the Mustangs had no trouble with the Trojans.  They built a 10-0 halftime lead, then added two more TDs--one on a 91-yard run by QB Justin Barnett, the other a 10-yard run by Cole Barber.  Next week, the Mustangs, whose only loss this season was to North Lincoln last week, play at Maiden.
