Soccer
East Lincoln beat West Lincoln 6-0 Tuesday afternoon. The Mustangs are now 5-1 on the season, a half game behind Lake Norman Charter. The Knights beat Bandys 9-0 Tuesday and have now won six games without a loss.

Maiden improved to 4-2 with a 5-0 win over Newton-Conover.

The Lincolnton girls are scheduled to play at North Lincoln at 5 PM Wednesday.

Tennis
We didn't receive a report on the Lincolnton at Newton-Conover match. West Lincoln downed North Lincoln 9-0 Tuesday and Lincoln Charter won 9-0 at Highland Tech. The Eagles will host Christ the King Wednesday afternoon (weather permitting)

Softball
Newton-Conover beat West Lincoln 6-5 Tuesday; a rare second consecutive loss for the Rebels. After falling behind 4-1 in the fourth inning and 5-1 going into the seventh, West tied the game in the top of the final inning, but the Red Devils scored the winning run in the bottom. Georgia Ingle was superb on the mound for Newton-Conover, striking out eight Rebels batters and giving up only four hits while not walking anyone.
The loss makes West 3-2. They'll have a chance for revenge when they host the Red Devils Thursday at 6 PM.

Maiden improved to 4-1 with a 12-2 win over Lake Norman Charter. The win keeps the Blue Devils in third place, a half game behind Bandys in the league standings. The Trojans improved to 5-1 with a 16-0 win over winless Lincolnton.

The top team in the conference so far is East Lincoln. The Mustangs beat North Lincoln Tuesday 7-2 and are now 4-0 for the year. Taliyah Thomas went 3 for 4 at the plate including a home run. The East girls had four stolen bases. Payton Baker gave up six hits on the mound while striking out 10 Knights batters. East will host North at 6 PM Thursday.
