For the second straight week, North Lincoln showed improvement on defense only to lose the game.

Two weeks ago, the Knights held No. 2 ranked East Lincoln to seven first half points before losing 33-0.

Friday night, North Lincoln held scoring machine Lake Norman Charter to 24 points
below its regular scoring average.

Unfortunately, the improved defense was again not enough as Lake Norman Charter scored a 35-12 Southern Piedmont Conference victory at North Lincoln.

Lake Norman Charter led 16-9 at the half, 24-9 through three quarters, and then pulled away in the final period.

For North Lincoln, David Spinner rushed for 70 yards and Scott DeLuca rushed for 67. Spinner scored the North Lincoln TD on a 1-yard run. The other Knights scoring came on field goals of 28 and 30 yards by Jason Stegal.

This week,  Lake Norman Charter (7-0, 4-0 SPC) faces East Lincoln at home in a game that could decide the conference title. Meanwhile, North Lincoln (1-7, 1-3) travels to West Lincoln.
