Lincoln Charter School is joining with Atrium Health to offer vaccinations against the COVID virus to students.
The first of two clinics was held Tuesday (Nov. 16th) at the Lincolnton campus. The second will be held at the Denver campus on Wednesday (Nov. 17th).
A parent or guardian must be in attendance for the vaccine to be administered. The vaccine clinics are offering doses for ages 5-11 as well as doses for those 12 or older.
An additional clinic will be offered for the second dose on December 6th at the Lincolnton campus and December 7th at the Denver campus.
The StrongSchoolsNC Toolkit says vaccinated students are not required to quarantine if exposed to COVID-19 if they are not experiencing symptoms.
Those who may have questions related to the vaccine can schedule a virtual visit with their regular provider or an Atrium Health pediatrician. The child does not have to be an existing Atrium Health patient in order to have a virtual visit.
While pre-registrations were suggested, walk-ins will also be allowed. The Thursday (Nov. 17th) clinic at the Denver campus will be held from 4 - 7 PM in the elementary building.
