1st Annual Rotary Race To Educate Changes Date To September 18
On September 18 the Rotary Clubs of Lincoln County along with the Lincoln County Student Loan Fund will host the 1st Annual Rotary Race to Educate. Teams of four will begin the race at Rescue Squad Park, Denver at 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 18, collecting clues to drive to secret sponsor locations across the county.

Vet Tech Building Honors Dr. Pat Skinner
Skinner, the college’s president emerita, served in its top post from 1994 to 2020. She spearheaded efforts to create the state-of-the-art vet tech facility, which will now be known as the Patricia A. Skinner Institute of Veterinary Technology.

Laundromat Family Literacy Center Opens Friday
Soon you’ll be able to combine your laundry and literature. How? According to John Russell, the Lincoln County Public Library’s youth services co-ordinator, it’s the opening and official ribbon-cutting Friday (June 24), 2-3 p.m., of the Laundromat Family Literacy Center at Family Coin Laundry at 130 Vandiver Drive in Lincolnton.
