ALEXIS --- Tri-County Animal Rescue Small Pet of the Week is a beautiful Terrier mixed girl named Mimi. She is 4 years old and weighs under 20 pounds. The grooming for this girl is very simple…bath and brushing. Mimi is an adult and will not get any bigger. She gets attached to her person and will sit with them for hours. Mimi came into our rescue with seven other terriers that were all related to her. She has had puppies in the past but will never have another litter. Mimi was very scared and shy when we first got her but she is learning to trust people. She loves other dogs. Mimi is spayed, current on vaccines and micro-chipped. Come on out…we will be looking for you Saturday.
It is a delightful experience to have a terrier mix dog at home. Terriers are brave, mischievous, energetic, active, fearless, independent, playful, and cheerful. You may come across a variety of terrier dog breeds with different genetic makeup. Their characteristics may also vary slightly, as one of their parents belong to a different breed. If you want a dog that: is small and easy to carry, comes in several different coats and colors, is oh-so-funny and entertaining in quirky ways, is very loyal, travels well, doesn't need much exercise, LOVES warm sunny climates, usually has a long lifespan…..then a Terrier may be right for you!
The Tri-County Animal Rescue Medium Pet of the Week is this beautiful Hound mix named Jasper. He is 6 years old, good with people and good with other animals. Jaspers loves both inside and outside. He weighs about 40-50 pounds. Jasper needs a fenced yard for exercise. He would do well with another dog to play with. Jasper is a sweet boy. He is crate trained and house trained. Jasper is neutered, current on vaccines and micro-chipped. Please give this boy a chance to become part of your family! Jasper will be looking for you this Saturday.

Maggie is spayed, current on vaccines and micro-chipped. Please give this big girl a chance to become part of your family! She will be looking for you this Saturday.
The Great Pyrenees is often described as a majestic, stately dog. They carry themselves with confidence and have a hint of gracefulness despite their large size. The giant, majestic Great Pyrenees is immensely powerful and strong, often tipping the scales at more than 100 pounds. They can stand nearly 32 inches at the shoulder. They are also thoughtful, vigilant, and alert. Originally bred to guard sheep, they still have those innate instincts today. Despite their large, bulky presence, these dogs are often described as patient and calm.
If you are looking for an addition to your family, please come out and meet our adoptable pets this weekend. Many pets will be at the Gastonia PetSmart located at 3698 East Franklin Boulevard this Saturday noon to 6 p.m.
