CROUSE, N.C. - At 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2018 the Crouse Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will be sponsoring their 5th Annual Community Christmas Parade in Downtown Crouse, North Carolina.
Spectators are welcome and interested churches, organizations or individuals are urged to submit an application form to enter golf carts, tractors with trailers, floats, lawn mowers with trailers, classic cars, trucks, four wheelers, bicycles, floats, and goats, horses with wagons or buggies and horses with riders.
The number of entries for the event grows each year and this year we hope to exceed 2017’s turnout! We do ask that business and corporate entities maintain a seasonal atmosphere and play down any commercial aspects. It is also worth mentioning that The Santa Claus Float at the end of the parade will be the only Santa Claus in the parade.
On parade day all entries will begin lining up at 12 noon in the Crouse United Methodist Church parking lot located at GPS Address 3311 Crouse School Road, Crouse, NC 28033. With all entries required to be on site by 12 noon and in line by 12:30 p.m.
All entries must have a holiday theme.. NO Exceptions! Be creative decorate your entry with a festive holiday theme, use your imagination, and JOIN IN THE FUN!
The organization is simple. Fill out a parade entry form in advance, these can be picked up at the Crouse Fire Department, Crouse Post Office, Mem’ry Lane Antiques & Finds or at the Crouse Community History & Photo Project Office, and return to the Crouse Fire Department. Entry forms can also be filled out the day of the parade but the Ladies Auxiliary prefers having them in advance.
We announce the parade at local churches and put up signs announcing the parade throughout the community. Everyone simply shows up and the fun begins. Last year we estimated 100s of people lining the parade route and this year we anticipate an even larger crowd.
If you are looking for good family fun, we think you will find nothing better than visiting downtown Crouse for the 5th Annual Christmas Parade at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 1st.
